Default My Advice for anyone building a new 600E....

Just my 2 cents worth. Go ahead and sell the 600Xl motor and stock ESC and go 8S! Pick yourself up an HV-85 or anything else that'll handle 8S and a 1910/1Y/H motor. You'll enjoy your Helicopter 10 times more with longer flight times, more power and increased longevity of components. We've had real good results with the 8S 4270 EvoLite batteries from FlightPower.

Just looking at the number of threads about power questions and issues made me create this little thread.

Have a great day!

Which is exactly why I posted this! AFTER you've bought several batteries is not a good time to change setups! An 8S FlightPower battery is only $29 more than a 6S.

just to add.. i know 8s is ideal for this size electric, but someone has to produce a decent more effecient motor to run on 6s. i dont think the power is all that bad with the XL on 10 tooth, well if you arent doing crazy fast 3D moves...

Hi Alan - what is the highest battery temp you have recorded with this setup?, I seem to recall 133F for the 8S 4270 with another 600 sized heli (Gohbee Phazor 600e?) you are running with the same power system (and that heli was about the same weight as a stock frame T-rex 600).

I second Wren's motion!

The 1907, 8s setup is perfect on the T600. Your talking 3000 watts (yes that is 4 hp) of power and it doesn't stress the packs like the 1515 6s setup does.

It does not bog at all and overall it is cheaper as well.

CC85 170.00
1907 165.00
4270 8s 330.00
Total 665.00

6s
1515H 275.00
CC85 170.00
4900 6s 299.00
Total 744.00 NO BRAINER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, it does work VERY well......

Wren in the Phazor, you are able to get the 1910 geared correctly, as where with the T600 the 1907 1400kv just gets the gearing targeted perfectly for the castle gov. mode.

I think this is why Clint likes it so much... PLUS it's freakin cheap!

That's the really great thing about the 1907...Price!

Yep, The Phazor has more gear ratios than you can shake a stick at!

Wren:

I'm still trying to build my second 600E with the RW HFE Frame. So a few questions for you.

Will the 8S setup fit in the HFE Frame? (Just saw your You-tube vid so I guess it works)
What pinion are you running on the 1907?
Which 1907 are you using the 1 with the Heli Option?
What charger are you using for the 8S pack?
How long are your flight times?

I was just about ready to pull the trigger on a new AT 6S pack, but now you have me thinking.

I already have the CC85HV, so I just need the motor and battery, assuming I can use my TP Charger.

Thanks,
Lee

8s is probably a good choice, I'm sure, but I'm quite happy with the 1515 and my new 25c Hyperions 5000. I run them hard and they are no more than 125 deg f, after 4.5 minutes. Whatever works I guess.

We were running the 1910 in the HFE, I'll have to look and see which pinion we were using. It was the heli motor that we used. We use TP 1010 chargers. Flight time were right at 5 minutes.

OK, so which 1907 model are you using and what pinion? How does it compare with the 1910 setup in the Youtube vid?

Thanks!
