V2 Blade grips

To upgrade my Trex 450 SE GF head to be able to use the V2 grips and feathering shaft, I would need the main rotor housing also or are the dampers just different. Just wondering because Readyheli isn't stocking the old style feathering shafts anymore. Thanks.

Pretty sure you would need the main rotor housing too, the spindle is 4mm, as opposed to the SE 3mm.

I heard the heads between the two are dimensionally the same

The blue colour and the O-Rings are indeed different... One O-Ring being 4mm as opposed to 3mm ID and both with an OD of 6.5mm is how they accommodate the larger 4mm Feathering Shaft of the V2.

Check the O-Ring size difference by going to ALIGN it will confirm this...

XL - O-Ring (Φ3XΦ6.5X2mm)
V2 - O-Ring (Φ4xΦ6.5x2mm)
