Question Can the phasing pins on the SEv2 be replaced?

Had a bad crash the other day and bent the pins pretty bad. Can I replace them or do I have to replace the entire head block?

Yup. Get some vice grips and pull them out. Buy a plastic head and use the pins from that or make your own pins.

Can I use "piano wire" from the hobby store? As long as it's the same size, then I assume you use the green locktite to hold them in.

Since they are hardened pins I had one break off part way into the hub. Be careful not to bend them any further when you are pulling them out.

I ran with 1 pin for a bunch of flights. Glad to have it replaced.

It looks like it's 1.5mm, so it shouldn't be to hard to find!

I just removed one last week and found that using a heat gun on the head made removal a lot easier.

I cut up a flybar rod from my AXE CP and it fit perfect. Used green loctite to hold in, good thing about this is it is not as hard as the original and less likely to break off. Did this about six months back and have had no problem. It was a cheap fix, although my AXE did not like this so it puffed it LIPO at me! Jealous Girl!!

making new ones out of drill bits seemed to work really well for me.hard as all hell and i used slightly larger ones as there seemed to be a little slop with the old ones

The two pins that force the washout to spin with the head.

I call them anti-rotation pins, not sure they have an official name.

I've never had any break but had 'em twisted pretty bad. I just get on them with a needle nose and keep tweaking them until they're straight and smooth-sliding again. They should sell these with those TINY set screws that tighten them in a little baggie.

Thanks guy for all the answers.

I've used pliers before a couple of times to fix them and just did it again tonight! But I'm pretty sure this is the last time for one of the pins on there. I'll be picking up some 1.5mm paino wire and cutting some pins for the parts box before the weekend!

Actually I've been thinking of putting one of those on my Trex and hook it up to my throttle hold switch so that I can send it back in time to the moment just before I lost control and crashed it.

Good idea ?
