protek 5 cell 4000mah lipo on trex 500 question

Hi i just wanted to know how you guys with the Protek 5 cell 4000mah fit the battery between the frames after lowering the battery tray because it dosen't fit. Also after flying i like to let the battery cool down before charging it is it okay to put the battery in front of the air conditioner to cool it down faster. Any help is much appreciated.

It might be a difference in pack dimensions. I had 4, one friend has 4 and another has 3. All sets ordered at different times but they all fit. You do have to turn the pack on its side.. ie. put the label facing out to the side.

I did but it still did not fit it fits but i use two washers between the frames and the battery tray on each screw can you please post a picture of yours between the frames because i think i got an older version of the battery because i bought it 1 and a half months ago. thanks in advance

my battery dosen't look that shiny when did you buy it. Also do you think having a washer or two between will hurt anything.
