Hello all.
I'm putting together an AP ship (stretched trex 600/10s/HC Prof) and will be using a Canon 450D. I have a very steep learning curve as far as using the camera and picture composition goes and i'm not sure what lens would be most suitable. Tips or pointers would be most welcome please. Dan.

canon 20mm 2.8 is highly recommended by many. I also use the 10-22mm and it works very well.

Thanks, guess a fixed length is lighter too?

that's what I thought too, but the 20mm 2.8 prime lens is actually a couple of ounces heavier than the 10-22mm zoom. I was told it's because of higher quality glass. Both are way heavier than the 18-55mm kit lens. Actually, that's not a bad lens, it takes decent photos too.
