Default Blade tracking

I’m running the stock wooden Esky blades. I have noticed now that it has been hot and humid out that my tracking starts to go out of whack while I’m flying. When I first bring my helicopter outside from an air conditioned house my tracking is pretty much dead on. By the time I’m finishing up with a second battery pack my tracking is off by a good 1/8 inch or more. It seems these wooden blades distort with the humidity in the air. Is this a good argument for carbon blades? Or are there better wooden blades that would not have this problem? Since my flying consists of hovering and flying figure 8’s I didn’t feel I needed the expensive carbon blades at this point. And the stock Esky blades are cheap to replace. But I’m starting to rethink that now.

Esky woodies are the worst thing about mate, Align woodies or fiber cost about the same and are 10 times better. I havn't heard very good reports about Esky carbon either.

If you use a the align blades you will need to put a small spacer inth the blade holder as they are thinner than the Esky ones.

You will find that they fly much better too

I can only second Ian's comment!

E-sky woodies are in my book worthless (exept when I have chrashed and is waiting for the new blades to arrive )

I have used align 315mm woodies and they track perfectly, in all weather conditions. Also I just put on the align 315mm carbon's, will test them later today if the weather allows...

Does anyone know how the CopterX woodies fair? I'm getting some later today. I just like to jump the gun and be informed before my own testing. I'll give my opinion later.

Don't know mate, Ber 60 has a CopterX so that probably came with some but he is on holiday in Austria.

Be interested to see how they compare to Align

I have never tried the Align blades but I'm going to the park in a couple of hours to try the CopterX blades. So I won't have any comparison but I will let you know how they fly.

The CopterX blades are 325mm, really light, well balanced, and track well. They also shatter well in a crash. They seem better than the Esky stock woodies and cost less too. Over all I liked them and have ordered more. They do require 1mm shims and fit in the Esky cnc blade grips with no mods. I don't know how they fit in the plastic ones or if you need to trim the roots.
