Show & Tell Me About Your Work Space/Heli Bench

I'm curious to see and hear what you all have as far as a work area/bench for heli builds, repairs and maintenance.

To date I've been using the dining room table to do all of my heli stuff. But I think I got permission from the tower (wife) to use some space in a storage room to make a little heli work bench area. I think I can fit a 2ft x 3 1/2ft counter/bench top and then use the space above and below for parts storage etc.

I'm curious as to what type of storage bins, shelves and hangers are being used. I'm particulary interested in any space saving ideas. But even those of you who have giant hobby rooms should post, I'm sure I can get some ideas from any setup.
Pictures would be graet if you have them, details on things like tool storage etc. would help me out a lot.

I'm very excited about putting together my man space, I hope you guys can help me out with some good ideas.

The picture says it all. This is probably the most humble work space here. Note my roommate's cello station in the background.

are those electrical boxes with posts for alligator clips?

i bought my wife a new kitchen table, guess where the old kitchen table is now and what occupies it

Me and the Misses built our dream house five years ago. It did not include a hobby room. I can see an addition or a sale coming up soon.

Not sure what ya mean... I have 2 PC power supplies on the wall to hook up chargers, Is that what your talking about?

Can you tell HOW you did that? I like the idea of using a PC PS for this. I have them laying all over the place....

Just find the lead that is 12v with the highest amp output . Also it helps if you have one of the Pc power supply that has an On/OFF switch built into it. Other wise it's a little harder to do because you have to jump a few leads and have a constant load on the power supply in order to get it to turn on .

Huh? "lol" I have several around that HAVE the build in On/Off switch. I'm gone to GOOGLE to see if I can find some pictures and detailed instructions.

Wolfpackin,

You have to jump the orange lead to ground on ATX power supplies. You also have to add at least one 10w 10 ohm wirewound resistor to a 5v lead to get your 12v leads closer to 12v. here are a couple of links..

I've also learned just recently that you may want to plug in the charger to the PS before powering the PS, if not it may shut down the PS.
