I was just over on the Canomod site and they are showing a couple of 700N canopy designs on the site (stock canopy shape). Not too bad

The stock 700 canopy is OK however this new one proposed has my Vote 100%.
Just worried about the canopy clearance on the 700.

That's good news. Will you provide unpainted white canopies, too? I prefer to paint my own canopies

I don't think it's the shape as much as the ugly paint jobs and windshield Align chose for the 700.

I always liked the "yellow" 500 canopy with the red inlay on the windshield, but didn't like the windshield shape on the 500 and 700, so I had Arizona Canopy paint me the same color scheme but with the heritage "oval" windshield. This is how Align should be painting their canopies:

I agree, I'm in the process of painting my own. This is how it looks so far.

Looking good!

The oval windshield gives the canopy a longer, more pointed look, which in turn gives the heli an overall more aggressive look!

ALIGN - take note!!!

not everyone likes the same thing , personally i don't like the oval windshield , doesn't make it look aggressive enough. the wrap around windshield looks more aggressive to me. looking at Canomod.com site , i really like their paint jobs...

The new designed canopy will be about an inch longer to make the canopy look like a real 90 size canopy. The stock canopy is almost same size as the trex 600 canopy. It's too small for the 90 size heli.

After finishing will post the pictures of old and new canopy. The new one is bad!

Question for Heli Direct

Why will the windshield be oval? Is it to just look like the 600? Personally I want to feel like I got a NEW 90. Not just a larger 600. I want something different, fresh, unique but very cool. I think I speak for most here, correct me if I am wrong. The new design on the canopy is a huge step forward, but so is the paintjob.

Regardless, thank you so much for adressing this problem and I hope you make tons of money selling thse canopies. Align has seriously understimated the importance of asthetics in this hobby which in my openion is a huge oversight.

Anyway, If you are putting in the effort, why not go for something a little more unique. I would like to see something that is not so rounded, but rather sleek and pointed, streamlined. I know that a number of us here have some artistic sence and would love to work with you guys on a design that works.

Would you be open to posting some possible design ideas for the paintjob? Get the comunity involved to deliver a stunning new canopy?

FYI i think the shape and the flow of the new canopy is brilliant.
