Unhappy where to find parts for HDX500SE V1 ?

Hi, last we, i had one bad crash with my HDX500SE ... main blades, main frame, mixing arms, 1 of the servo gears were hs.
I would like to place an order to the firm which sold me my hdx (HeliDirect), but the main frame and the mixing arms V1 are not available. I don't understand it because Helidirect sells even today the HDX500SE V1.
Do you know another seller or web site which offer these parts.

Thanks for your help

I don't see a V1 on the website unless what you have is the SE. I run a search on the site and found these parts https://www.helidirect.com/advanced_...dx500+se+frame
The SE uses a V2 frame. Boy I'll bet you had parts spread over a large area after that crash.

If you get stuck, www.takeoffandland.com.au is the Australian distributor for HDX and has most parts in stock. Our dollar is way down at the moment compared to the USD so once you factor in the conversion.
1AUD=0.79USD

thank you for your responses.
I wrote to hélidirect, and they have confirmed to me that they do not sell the main frame and the upper mixing arms, and the need to buy upgrades V2.
This is not good news for me or for owners of HDX V1.
I think I'll order at TakeoffAndLand because they seem to have all parts (thank you Mon_t for this url), except for the upper mixing arms :-(

The main frame of my HDX is similar of this one:
http://www.sportsmoto.co.uk/acatalog/info_991.html

I am really disappointed not to find these parts from Helidirect and their response.

Otherwise, my poor HDX, after my crash :

How hard is it to convert it to use v2 frames?
Might be worth investigating.

Email Toby at Take-Off and Land, he may be able to order the parts you need or set you up with a V2 frame.

.
Not hard at all , we recently converted both our 500 SE V1's
Basically you need the frames, anti rotation guide ( plastic guide from 500 SAH ) , 500 SAH battery tray , and frame supports (also same as 500 SAH and goes low on frame either side of motor)
Then I would recommend you also get a 140T main gear and suitable pinion ( depending on your motor and lipos)

This conversion rebuild also gives you the oppotunity to check your heli thoroughly- trust me , all helis need this !

So -
I have two V1 frames available if someone wants them !

Oh , and get the parts direct from Helidirect , why would you have the parts fly from HD ( USA) to Take Off ( Australia) and then to Paris

The parts are coming from China for one. Helidirect is one distributor, I am not pro nor against them, just giving you another option. It may just be that Toby has the parts he needs to fix his V1.
Another reason is the exchange rate 1 Euro = 1.80 AUD where as 1 Euro = 1.43 USD.
It may end up cheaper to order from here.

Lotus, you've also converted head rotor V2? with this upgrade kit ?
http://www.helidirect.com/product_in...oducts_id=6089
I think to buy all parts (with your description) to convert my HDX V1 to V2. The gap is not significant.
But with my electric configuration (4S3300), i keep the same main gear (94T). I see on the picture, the different holes to hold the motor, in function of the main gear.

We only bought the V2 rotorhead and the used the Trex 500 flybar and paddles
Also the two crossmembers of the Trex500 flybar cage (flybar control arms) to widen the flybar cage - The narrower HDX500 flybar cage tend to cause binding at full cyclic movements - the wider cage cures this problem
The Trex flybar is a bit longer and the paddles lighter, making the cyclic far more responsive( The Gaui flybar can also be used as it is exactly the same as the Trex500)
Then we also changed the yoke (wishbone) part of the SE cyclic lever ends ( http://www.helidirect.com/product_in...oducts_id=4487 )at the swash for the plastic HDX500 SAH parts . The metal SE lever ends are thicker that the plastic lever ends of the SAH and can cause binding at the extreme movements of the swash- this advice came from Greg Alderman , technical director of Helidirect
Finally we also changed to the Scorpion 1210KV motor- not necessary for general flying as the standard motor on 6S is strong
So if you are going to upgrade to V2 frames , think about :-
-V2 rotor head
-TRex 500 flybar , flybar paddles and flybar control arm (cage) end pieces
-SAH plastic cyclic lever ends
This is inexpensive and really made the V2 an awesome machine
This then will give you the option to later change to Scorpion motor and 140T main gear
BTW, I still fly 4S 3700 lipos on the 1210 Scorpion- more than enough grunt for my flying

Hello, i think to have a big problem.
I received my order today with the new mains frames. Unfortunately, I have the impression that it is no possible to install the 2 servos (pitch and aileron) on the rear because only one emplacement is available. and for the elevator servo, is good because i have 2 emplacements for this.

the main frame is : http://www.helidirect.com/product_in...oducts_id=4270

I am wrong and stupid, but I see no solution because the antirotation guide is on the front and really it is impossible to install the 2 servos at the rear. Can you help me, because there is no manual and no pictures that can help me . :-(
I have read the HDX500 SAS, but the main frame is different (two servo emplacements at the rear and one at the front).

My cyclique servos are Hitec 85MG

Thanks for your help

Just download the 500SAH manual here - the servo setup on the 500 V2 is exactly the same

Unfortunately not for mine ! Lotus, is completely different to mount servos.
In searching through the Web, I found these photos.

http://www.runryder.com/helicopter/t414380p1/
http://www.runryder.com/fastphoto/61676/P3090052.jpg
http://www.runryder.com/fastphoto/61676/P3090051.jpg

We can see how the servos are mounted on the front site of the frame.

I must add a ball on the swashplate

I will try to install it as described on these photos.

What do you think about it ? i don't see another solution.

The frame in the photos are from a 3DX 500, this is the same as the HDX 500 SAH
The V2 frame was an upgrade from the SAH frame with modifications to take the bigger main gear . The servo mounts for the V2 is as per the photoraphs , thus as per the SAH and is clearly given in the SAH manual. We've converted three HDX500 v1 helis to V2 frames and we used the SAH manual .
The V1 has totally different servo mounts . Compare the photographs with the SAH manual , they show the same servo mounts .
I can take pictures of my converted V2 and send it to you , if you are still unclear

On the V2 the pitch servo is mounted left front upper mounting, the aileron servo is mounted right lower mounting and the elevator servo is mounted in the rear mounting - the pitch and aileron servo horns are outside the frame and the elevator servo horn is mounted between the two frames
And yes , 2 servos are mounted in fron of the main shaft and 1 servo behind . The anti rotation guide is in front and you have to rotate the swash by 180 degrees . The elevator link is not connected to the same mounting on the swash as the anti rotation guide pin
Check the SAH manual and the photographs and you will get it right

thanks for your advices. I began to intall the new frame, (with SAS manual, photos and your description) and, for this moment, it's ok. I try to take photos of my installation and will post here, because it is not easy to find this information.

Again thanks
