ha.. waiting for some guinea pigs to line up for it then will see! Would like to find out what the recommended electrics are when people have it in their hands.

I'm still quite a newbie, but wouldn't it be resonable for Align to release a "good" version of the 250, wait a year, then come out with a "new and improved" version? It seems that if they launch a "perfect" 250, they have nowhere to go with it... They need to release a model that is not optimized so that they can introduce a "V2" version the following year. I just hope that the lucky people who first get 250's recognize this and aren't too harsh on it!

Does it come with an electron microscope so that you can work on it?

Working on my 450 is difficult enough with the miniaturized micro nano screws and parts it uses!

One thing I feel is that the Trex canopies have been getting uglier since the after the 450V2 came out. Looks like you could paint this one yellow and put a smiley face on it.

Anyways until this things hits the mainstream and more user reviews start showing up on the net all we have is speculation and hearsay, for what all thats worth.

so you'd rather have a "second" rate heli that requires "consumer beta testing" to correct the problems, and have to buy another a year later that has all the "mods" just for it to be called a "align trex 250 super pro"?

Uhm.. yea, you can have that all you want. but i'll take the stance on "i want the heli to be right when i get it"..

and +1 for the 250 being the ugliest heli yet.. i think it looks worse than the dragonus.

What's wrong with the 600nitro canopy? Looks great! Now the 500 and 700 canopys are butt ugly.

Yep! All part of the journey! How else do I get to participate in the hobby?

Of course everyone wants the perfect item day one, but that ain't how the business world works... look at computers, cars, TV's, stereo equipment, cameras, cell phones, etc... they call are first introduced, then come out a year later with a "new and improved". It is just the way things work. I don't like it, but that is the way it is.

They all look like a turd wrapped in fiberglass, so none of them are above reproach. I suppose everyone has their opinion, but those are the only two that look at least half-way decent in stock colors, otherwise, it's like putting lipstick on a pig!

The 500 is the best looking one in the bunch. Everytime I look at one, I am tempted to pull the trigger on one. Maybe next year sometime, right now Im too broke.

Get an Atom 500 instead. No static issues, fully upgraded, better features, lower parts count, simpler maintenance, it looks way better....and the list goes on and on!

Not to be controversial (but you all know I am) I am liking what I am seeing from Compass lately and that is NO BS!

I cant at this time agree with skunkworx until I get my Atom500 flying but I gotta say if it is anything like my Compass 600E, I think this is a heli to be looking at!

Stay tuned and I will let you know when I can!

Bob

How much do you have left to go on it Bob? I thought you'd already flown one? Hmmm....maybe that was Emag Remrofni (Sean).

I flew the very first atom at IRCHA. It was Kevin Tuckers test heli. I LOVED IT! It flew kick arse power wise! Had some tail problems but they were working on that at the time. Based on what I see in my kit, I see no reason to have tail problems!

But until I can get more stick time on my own I am not going to say "YES GREAT HELI".... So please wait... I have about another week or so to go on the build vids.
