Yes, but only a little bit, on the one I just installed.
I noticed the fit of the plug varied with the manufacturer of the plug. I have one Futaba, with the extra projection trimmed off, that was the tightest, three Align (Savox) servo plugs (probably the least tight), one from the HobbyWing ESC and and two from the WR BEC (in between, as I recall).
