For a long time now I have been using JR8717's HV and 8917's HV on a direct 2S settup and no issues at all.

One of my friend is testing for Hitech and he told me that BEC is good for the health of the servos. Not using BEC is just fine but servos life span becomes shorter! You can hardly notice this test unless you SLEEP EAT & FLY becouse it requires lots of flyng.
