if you are not sure the ones you have will stop a main blade go and buy yourself some polycarbonate lensed safety glasses for close work like this probably lense and frame conbined in the one moulding for strength
polycarbonate can be hit with a hammer repeatedly and will resist fracture and penetration (cue beavis and butthead)
the lenses in my oakley sunglasses (polycarbonate) have stopped an errant tail blade that snapped off a T-REX 600 that was flying at a feild close to me before
they only got scratched on the iridium coating but it hit quite hard and i didn't even see it coming
