I would suggest keeping the plastic case for the DSMX satellite.
The same thing happened to me with my 150. The satellite started loosing signal periodically and then died, probably due to too many crashes (which eventually killed the MRS as well). When I replaced it I kept the plastic case and never lost another satellite, including the ones in my 150X.
