OMG, what a day today
It was that picture perfect winter day, 32 down to 27F with no wind whatsoever, a perfect and one of those days that you didn't want to end!! I flew it until the last minute, just past 5:30pm and took a picture after I landed in the darkish setting. The fuel tank light was bleaching out the picture so to speak. See below.
I spent the afternoon tuning helis and trying to see how the power compares between the two. My V2 engine is definitely stronger than my V1, so I decided I'm going to send both back and have the V1 engine updated to match the same parameters as the V2. Tonight I will remove the engines and box them up to get this done.
The V1-2 is flying very nice and quiet, I need to upgrade the V2 to the same CF tail pushrod as it makes a big difference in the sound of the machine - no extra noise over the engine drone.
Whiplash V2 = 2
Whiplash V1-2 = 3
2018 count:
MA 1005 = 18
Spectra-g = 16
Whiplash V1-2 = 9
Whiplash V2 = 39
Total = 83
Gallons Mixed = 11.25
Check the pictures below. Canopies off, laptop around, pitch guage, the works to see how the two machines compare. Man I still can't get over how nice the afternoon was, and how nice the V1-2 is flying, I'm excited its like a brand new heli again
Last picture the damn mud froze to the skids and turned to ice with grass stuck to it. When I got home I had to wash the skids in the kitchen sink to melt the ice and clean off the grass that was sealed in.
