The only difference between the two Xnova motors in the stator lamination thickness. On the lightning they are 0.15mm thick rather than 0.2mm on the XTS (and the Scorpion).
Thinner laminations reduce magnetic eddy currents in the core, which in theory this makes it a little more efficient, especially at low power (at high power it becomes insignificant). I very much doubt if in practice you would notice any difference to be honest as any differences there are will be in the very small % value, but I've not actually compared them myself.
