Only a 4 year pause this time.

I put the AS355 back on the bench. I decided to cut a new frame set and clean up a few things. My original frame was ply with the intention of making one out of CF when I had things worked out. The ply held up just fine, so I used it again. I can cut ply on my laser, so I drew up a new frame set and cut the pieces. I installed the new frame into the heli and went out for a go...

First try was OK, second try I lost the tail rotor ( don't ask ). I got it on the ground but had a tip over. Ripped out my frame mount and broke 2 blades. New frame was undamaged.

I ordered a new set of blades and while waiting for those to show up, build a new mounting method for the mechanics. I also addressed a tail rotor issue.

New blades came and the heli was ready to try again. Took it out and it flew ( hovered around ) quite well. The changes I made improved things.

This summer I'm back to flying my helis more, had taken a very long break. With the AS355 now flying better than it ever has maybe...... I'll get it done.
