Hmmm... 770 vs. 401

Well as a new helifreak I asked which was better the 770 or 401 gyro for the T-rex 500 I ordered. At first it seemed like the 770 was getting the rave reviews, then Finless provided some real-world support for the 401...

Tough call as I thought the 770 was newer/better tech and therefore worth the extra $50 or so.

But do I really need anything better than the 401?

It's kind of like the argument for a 400hp commuter car. people don't need it, they just want...

Popcorn

Posted 02-16-2008 at 02:12 PM by rdlohr

Who came up with the idea for popcorn ceiling anyhow? That stuff is LOUSY!

First off, never fix up anything in your house. You will live to regret it because it is like a virus that spreads.
I started out to fix up our kitchen. Of course, since the dining room is adjacent that had to be part of the deal. Well then of course you need new drapes, table, china cabinet, etc. Not to mention if you paint the ceiling, it runs into the hall and now you have to do the hall, etc,...

Well the Ron Lund Video is 75% DONE but only (2) VIDEOS

Posted 02-19-2008 at 07:03 AM by DebianDog (Debian Dogs Den)

What is that you say? Well if you have not seen them, I have put (2) of the Ron Lund 2008 event videos are here. But I am gonna let you in on a little secret. Categorizing and organizing up front will save you time on the back end.

At Rons event I shoot 2 1/2 hours of footage. As usual I will never be able to use it all but there is no such thing as too much footage either When I am going though all the event footage I will label it like [Jason Indoor 1] then I will either watch...

Re-entry into AP

Posted 02-25-2008 at 02:32 AM by Whirly-Girl

My first go-round with AP nearly 2 years ago was a minor success. I bought all top of the line equipment and I loved it! I had a beast of a machine: a Bergen Intrepid EB swinging 810mm blades, a G-26 engine, and JR electronics. I used a HeliCam Solutions Pro 60-3x underslung mount and was taking pictures with my Canon S2 IS camera. All in all...a great setup!

But, some good things come to an end when you have family situations arise. You see, we lived in base housing at the time...unrenovated...
