The HALO is a high performance rotorwing UAS platform designed for low altitude surveillance, photography, video other remote sensing.

HALO Specifications

  • GPS Autopilot/Inertial Stabilization Capable
  • Cameras up to 5.5lb in weight
  • Carbon or Fiberglass Composite Fiber airframe. Non magnetic hardware
  • Flight Endurance up to 25 minutes (depends upon payload)
  • Payload and Configurations can contain optional HD SLR Camera, HD Video, FLIR and night vision, with wireless payload management for pan, tilt, zoom and photo/video capture
  • Designed from the ground up to capture inertial stabilized smooth vibration free HD video


The HALO UAS has been designed to work with either the DJI Innovations XP3.1 or the Helicommand Profi/GPS. The HALO is capable of operating in a wide range of environments with a variety of payload options.


The HALO has the ability to allow front mounted payloads. Multiple camera options allow for flexible videography & photography, including: DSLR, HD Video, and FLIR Infrared options. The main propulsion battery mounting position is flexible to allow for various payload weight without affecting the HALO center of gravity.

Ground Station

The HALO UAS system includes a ground station which can transmit video and other telemetry up to 2 miles line of site. The Ground Station has a high resolution 10" LCD monitor. The camera can be panned and tilted (roll coming soon) remotely and viewed in real-time on the Ground Station. Other data such as GPS position, helicopter battery status, amperage, watts, altitude, etc is overlaid on the real-time video image. audible alerts let the pilot know if any parameters of the helicopter are out of tolerance.

Electric Power

The HALO UAS uses a 3 phase AC Heavy Duty Brushless Motor. The motor has a rated HP/Torque rating that is far above what the HALO UAS operates at, even at max gross weight. The motor is nearly 90% efficient with little stored energy wasted to heat. The motor is powered by two 18.5 volt Lithium Polymer batteries and the HALO UAS can remain airborne up to 25 minutes in certain configurations.
