NovaRossi Engines R57HR 3D and R91HR 3D

Posted 06-02-2009 at 04:04 PM by Finless

While not new news, NovvaRossi has some new engines out for 50 and 90 sized nitro helicopters. I thought I would share this here in the news as not too many people have heard of them.

Here is a link to the Web site for more info.

Here is NovaRossi's press release and info.

REX R57HR 3D & R91HR 3D Press release.
NOVAROSSI has made a complete new .57 helicopter engine for their REX line.
The R57HR 3D is specially made for the 3D Helicopter competition market.
Developed to meet the highest demands of todays 3D competition pilots.
The strongest point of the R57HR 3D is not purely its maximum power output but mainly the power distribution throughout
the RPM range.
Great engine dynamics, simple to tune and its fatique resistence where other important development goals of the NOVAROSSI WORLD R&D
team.
Inside the R57HR 3D you find an optimized combination of the Piston/conrod and crankshaft to improve the engine performance and
at the same time reducing vibrations.
While the sleeve of the R57HR 3D has 5 transfer ports, the R91HR 3D has 8.
This difference is due to different fuel mixture dynamics inside the two engines, in short: improved efficiency.
To tune the R57HR 3D and the R91HR 3D as simple as possible, without compromizing engine dynamics NOVAROSSI WORLD created
a new carburettor for the R57HR 3D and R91HR 3D.
The carburettor features 2 needles to regulate the fuel flow at low/high speed.
To minimise the heat transfer from the crankcase into the carburettor we have mounted two (2) rubber O-Rings to insulate the carburettor.

With the Know-How of NOVAROSSI WORLD, combined with the input of the best 3D helicopter pilots and after an intense testing period
NOVAROSSI WORLD releases the R57HR 3D and the R91HR 3D to the public.

Below are some pics and specs. I plan to try one soon!

Here is the .91

Enjoy!
