More tail wag issues...

Posted 02-17-2008 at 01:55 AM by int2str

It was a very nice day today in San Diego. The sun was shining and the wind was calm. Coronado and the Coronado bridge provided a beautiful backdrop for a nice day of flying.

Indeed, I got quite a few very nice flights in today. Nice forward flight with very large, smooth banked turns, lazy eights, loops, rolls, you name it (within my limits). The heli behaved very nicely and was a joy to fly.

For the first time in my "career" I also managed to comfortably hover inverted closer to the ground; within in few feet actually.

Here's an example, and it certainly wasn't the lowest I got today:

But, all was not well with my heli either...

All my flights were cut short by the heli starting a strange tail wag. It's very hard to explain, but I got it one video. It's being discussed on the forums right now.

Hopefully we can find a solution so I can finally enjoy a full battery's worth of flight again and continue to work on my flying skills.
