Asking for help

Posted 02-28-2008 at 10:11 PM by int2str (From The Sideline)

Here are some simple tips that I hope will help people asking for help more efficiently on Internet forums such as HeliFreak. Hey, there might even be a life lesson in here somewhere...

In order to get the best help possible - and fast, it is important that the...

The Wingtote Medium Heli Bag is a great solution for storing and transporting your helicopter.

The bag comes with re-inforced plastic sides (all 4 corners) that slide into zippered "pockets" inside the bag. Once they are installed (5 minutes of work), they turn the bag into a pretty solid box. The lid closes via dual zippers, which makes it easy to open quickly. The Wingtote Heli Bag has both a short carrying handle...

Finally crashed the T-Rex...

Posted 02-21-2008 at 02:16 AM by int2str (From The Sideline)

Posted 02-17-2008 at 08:59 PM by int2str (From The Sideline)

... in your TX!

Today I finally managed to get my T-Rex 450 setup to my liking! No more wag issues, plenty of head speed and insane roll and flip rates! Very nice. The main issue were the blades (heavy Align semi-carbons vs. light woodies). Thanks to Dieselracer (Jose) for all the setup help, Axe CP paddles and the test flight.

But I almost ruined my new setup due to sand. Sand in my controller that is. I went to fly and just when I got my throttle/pitch stick past...

More tail wag issues...

Posted 02-17-2008 at 12:55 AM by int2str (From The Sideline)

It was a very nice day today in San Diego. The sun was shining and the wind was calm. Coronado and the Coronado bridge provided a beautiful backdrop for a nice day of flying.

Indeed, I got quite a few very nice flights in today. Nice forward flight with very large, smooth banked turns, lazy eights, loops, rolls, you name it (within my limits). The heli behaved very nicely and was...
