I have been spared by the Heli God's

Posted 03-25-2008 at 09:09 AM by ltfdrescue

The past couple of days I have been plaqued with a tracking problem. To give you a brief history of my heli, I have a Trex 450 se v2 with wood align blades and trueblood dampners. I did have a accidental tip over while practicing autoing and broke a blade, but no other damage. I put new blades on and made several attempts to adjust the tracking with no positive result.

I had my brother in law look at it and concluded that the feather shaft and or the main shaft were bent. So I changed the feather shaft and the main shaft and put it back together, flew it, still not tracking right and no change with adjustment. Took it apart and put new true blood dampners in it, flew it and still no change.

Took it into the kitchen table to go over it and discovered the ball and screw going into the main blade grip had came completely out. Didn't appear stripped, nor did it appear to have loctite on it. Put Red Loctite on both main grip balls and all is good.
