almost took my training gear off.... almost

I had been planning all week that today was going to be the day I not only took off my training gear (doesn't do a bit of good once you leave the ground anyways right?) but I was also going to start doing real FF. I can move my heli forwards and back it up with no problems.. I can move it side to side no problem.. I can even move it in a box pattern.. it's TIME for me to put it all together and fly this damn thing.

However, mother nature decided that today was a good day to have the winds blow at 10mph with gusts of 15mph... I still went to fly.. left my gear on and only did some hover practice.. I did pretty good for the high winds. I held it in mostly one place nice and steady.. later after the winds die a bit more I'll go outside and hover my packs down.. don't want to leave 3 packs sitting fully charged for a week...funny, a few weeks ago, winds less than these would have kept me from even thinking about flying...

A long a it's dialed in right leave em off. I only used mine for one flight or 6 batteries(30 min session) I should say. The next day I left them off.

Sounds like you are good enough to take them off. As you say they don't do much good if you are able to hover and control the bird are you are.

After a half-dozen flights or so mine came off and it wasn't really any big deal...

    Good luck!
