The [almost] end of July! Preparations for IRCHA!

Well, July is almost in the books and IRCHA is right around the corner! It’s been a mad-dash to get as much flying in and our helis in order. I ordered the 766 conversion kit with motor, only to find the motors are on back-order. I also decided to buy a new motor for my Whiplash G2 (had to sell some stuff) considering I was fixing it again! Carey has a “run” on gas motors as of late, and he doesn’t have any in stock. And now for July!

I can’t believe its July already! June went by so fast! The new lawnmower (a John Deer 42” Zero turn) is working great! I have a lot of training (learning) to do with this mower as it is my first zero turn mower. It is a lot faster than my old tractor and cuts better. Mark and I are finally getting out more, and boy, are we “rusty” at the controls. Well, not really, but we are not where we normally are in our flying. Normally at this time of year, we are...

Ah yes…goodbye April, and hello May!...ah, June!

It’s been awhile since I blogged here, but our weather was mostly rain and cold…and with very high wind conditions? So far the rain has moved out of our area for a while, and now we have lots of grass to cut. Boy, if it’s not one thing, it’s another! My lawnmower and weed Wacker have been getting a good workout, but my lawn looks great! Sorry Tru Green! And not only has the weather been uncooperative…things in and around...

Stepping up to FP helicopters...

Posted 05-12-2017 at 09:24 AM by Feather Project (This blog has been shut down)

And it was yesterday that I flew 4CH FP for the first time… What a disaster!

Being used to the QS5010 TX, I had a lot of trouble using the rudder, which is now located in the throttle stick. I honestly didn’t thought that it would be that hard. I slammed the V911 into the walls, the ground and the sofa. Bless these little indestructible helis

After the first minute my brain gets used to the normal control type and I can fly a bit better. Good thing about starting

I think the RC heli will save me

Posted 04-21-2017 at 07:46 AM by Feather Project (This blog has been shut down)

Now that I've became a pilot, I felt something different. When I'm flying and messing up with my model, it is as all of my problems disappeared. Although they're still there, it cannot reach nor affect me anymore. My mind was pretty disturbed. All the time it was just the problems that I can never solve pumping in my head. 24/7. I was at my very limit, and I could not have kept it up for much longer. But now... now it seems that all that trouble is at a distance, farther away from me that has ever...
