Here we are in July! The forth is over and the month is picking up speed. I won't be long now........IRCHA Baby!........ I can't believe its almost that time again!

Heli updates:

My N7…

The Synergy N7 was doing great, but the clutch stack decided to lock up last weekend, on the 5th flight. Come to find out (and with the help from the forums) the fan hub moved up on the crankshaft forcing the clutch into the clutch bell and finally applying pressure...

Pitch Curve & Pitch Travel

Posted 06-30-2015 at 07:50 AM by JonJet

Pitch Curve allows a variety of response levels depending on the reaction desired from collective stick movement

A linear pitch curve (0-25-50-75-100) is generally accepted in most cases for Normal and Idle Up Modes

A Hold Mode pitch curve of 0-50-50-50-100 will allow a quick check of pos/neg pitch travel as well as being helpful during setup for zero-pitch without having to be specific on the collective stick

0 = maximum negative collective
100 = max...

Throttle Curves - Flat - V-Curve - Deep-V

Posted 06-30-2015 at 07:39 AM by JonJet

Generally, you would use a linear Throttle Curve in Normal Mode, and a flat curve in IU Mode(s)

Linear Throttle Curve - 0-25-50-75-100 provides a smooth transition through the entire throttle range

Flat Throttle Curve - 75-75-75-75-75 (or any level you desire) provides a constant headspeed to allow inverted and 3D flight

V-Curve creates a "dip" in headspeed to allow tail motors to "keep up" with the main rotor head (not recommended with...

Heli updates:

My N7…N5C!...& Rave…

The Synergy N7 is doing great! I’m working on the “feel” in the Vortex controller…and it’s getting better! In the meantime…

Mark took a half day off from work (at first I thought he was kidding!), and to my surprise, he was waiting for me at our practice field. To start,...

The start of June! Summer begins???

They say that after Memorial Day, Summer begins. Umm, really?

My heli update;

My Synergy N7 is now performing awesome! I switched to 15% Wildcat fuel (now made by Byron Originals) and just a slight needle adjustment was needed. So my skills are what’s left to improve…LoL! The Rave, on the other hand, after replacing my original Rave, the electronic decided to act up, specifically, the tail servo. (Recap)I managed...
