mCPX BL vs. mCPX BLHeli

I just did a test flight using the Xtreme 130X main blades on My mCPX BL running BLHeli software to drive the tail...

Even as low as 40-flat TC, it jumps like crazy when I pump the collective and the tail holds perfectly...(Lynx 47mm tail blade)

A bit of servo travel tuning should help curb the floaty feeling, but wow, what a difference even at such low TC

Canopy (from mCPX BL to mCPX)

Blade Grips - Rotor Hub - Feathering Shaft (the BL parts are much stronger)

All servos - assuming the long wire type is used

Servo Rods

If the mCPX Swash is used - use the mCPX head links
If the mCPX BL Swash is used - use the BL head links

The following parts do not interchange

Heli-Log 5:15:15

And now May is half over!

May is proving to be an interesting month for sure. We’ve been getting lots of rain, overcast skies, and temps as low as 37 degrees (over night that is). This is making it hard to get out on a more consistent bases.

As for heli status, the Synergy N7 is performing great, much better than all the rest of my helis…so far. The Rave, on the other hand, it was totaled! In flight!!!

The “old” Rave

On Tuesday, I decided...

ncpx mild notes

just a quick update.

I think I got my mild kit dialed in and flying quite well.

* I got a new frame and re-did the mount. I think the original frame I had was warped or something because the new motor and gear fit really well together in the new frame.

* I oiled the motor bearings with some of this stuff: http://niftech.com/info/hyperdrops.html

* I went between an 70%-80% fixed throttle curve and put 80% max pitch...
