"The Grass Is Brown Everywhere"

Year's ago I took a job in Texas and when I started work I discovered that I had been "sold" on the job as much as I had been selling myself to the company.

After 2 weeks of discovering how this new job was even worse than my previous one, I returned to the former job (with a big pay increase) and coined the phrase "The Grass Is Brown Everywhere" to explain why I returned.

The acronym TGIBE became my username on many forums and accounts over the years...

"Do a loop!"

Posted 02-24-2008 at 09:11 PM by TGibe

Went to the park today with my wife and in the second flight of basically forward flight she yells "Do a loop"...

I couldn't do it ... it was only my 4th time out doing forward flight and I just don't have the skills yet... I did manage some fast forward flight near the ground that got some oohs and awws from the few spectators around (they are easily impressed I guess).

Bummer.

But she did manage to get a few pics of the bird hovering which I will paost to the gallery later...

Need to practice loops on the SIM for a while...

Cheers

LOL I always tend to show off and it usually ends bad when people are watching. So kudos to you for knowing you capabilities. I was checking out your gallery and I'm looking for a nice aluminum case. Which you do you have? How is it?

hehe... It took a bit of effort and I considered giving it a try (still have the urge to impress the wife of 21 years for some reason LOL) but it was a little breezier than I normally fly in so I was already a little tight...

The case is the 450X/XL case from ALIGN. I got it from DeeTee Enterprises at an RC show here in the Seattle area. I am not sure if the foam insert is their design or ALIGN's, but the SEV2 fits fine with a little modification...

It sure makes getting to the field easy...

    Cheers
