"The Grass Is Brown Everywhere"

Year's ago I took a job in Texas and when I started work I discovered that I had been "sold" on the job as much as I had been selling myself to the company.

After 2 weeks of discovering how this new job was even worse than my previous one, I returned to the former job (with a big pay increase) and coined the phrase "The Grass Is Brown Everywhere" to explain why I returned.

The acronym TGIBE became my username on many forums and accounts over the years...

It has been a while

It has been quite a while since I have posted to this blog. Actually it has been because I have been very heavily into my first hobby, golf. This season I managed to get in over 60 rounds of golf on nearly 20 courses and drop my handicap down to 7.3. As the golf season winds down it is time to pick up the heli once again and see if I can get some flight time in once again as I mostly had it sit on the bench all summer long

I know, I know.... Summer is when the weather is nice and the days are long... But I have to get my golf fix while I can because I don't play golf between October and the end of February. Plus it is a lot windier in the Summer than I realized - especially after work.

So I hope to get back into flying now that golf season is ending. Hopefully I can pick back up where I left off.

On a side note, for some reason my work PC won't allow me to view helifreak.com any longer. Out network team says that helifreak is rejecting us for some reason (maybe we got blacklisted)...

Cheers,
Allen
