"The Grass Is Brown Everywhere"

Year's ago I took a job in Texas and when I started work I discovered that I had been "sold" on the job as much as I had been selling myself to the company.

After 2 weeks of discovering how this new job was even worse than my previous one, I returned to the former job (with a big pay increase) and coined the phrase "The Grass Is Brown Everywhere" to explain why I returned.

The acronym TGIBE became my username on many forums and accounts over the years...

Left 4 Dead

Another random blog entry after quite a while away from the freak (I still lurk around quite a bit)...

Over the Holiday break this year I got into a multiplayer co-op game from my favorite PC game company ValvE.

Left 4 Dead is very addictive as you and three team members try to escape Zombies and "Special Infecteds" in one of 4 co-op scenarios. Who doesn't like blasting the heads off of agressive hordes of Zombies?

Additionally, you can play the part of the infected in a special versus mode.

I spent a couple of hundred hours already on this game and its 4 campaigns and still haven't gotten bored. The community aspect of the game allows you to befriend others with similar play styles so you can "meet up" for a quick round with past team-mates.

The really cool thing is that you must work as a team to make it through - especially on the advanced and expert levels. This is noticably different than the counter-strike play style where teamwork is nice, but a really good single player can take over a game.

Anyway, Cheers
