A little about me
I have been fascinated with all things RC since I can remember. As a child I remember staring at the Cox glow powered models in the Sears Christmas Catalog year after year. Finally, one year for my birthday, my Father took me to a local hobby shop where we purchased a glow powered control line plane and I've been hooked ever since.
Later, as I was able to purchase models on my own, I tried cars, planes and even a Hirobo glow heli which proved to be too much for me in the days before the net where information and help was plentiful. I graduated into large scale gasoline powerboats which I built and raced for many years and managed to get a few of my builds featured in a national publication. Sadly, only a couple of photos of two of my boats remain despite me building many of them over the years.
About 2006 I wanted to revisit learning to fly helicopters again. I bought every book and DVD series I could get my hands on not wanting to fail at it again. From my very first coaxial trainer helis, to the painful process of trying to fly the early single rotor micros, I have never had such a rewarding experience. In the last 6 years I have owned and built more than 20 helis, but today have settled on one favorite model and moved the others to new homes to be enjoyed by others. My current model is a Goblin 700C with Skookum FBL controller and GPS.
Thanks for dropping in
