X5 current draw

My X5 draws around 15A at 0deg pitch, and around 30-35 in stable hover with a headspeed around 2400rpm.

That seems a little high to me, how does that compare with others?

What size blades are you running.

With 560 blades at 1600-1800 RPM I’m close to 25A. At your higher headspeed, 35A doesn’t surprise me.

I pulled some old data I had when I was still using a castle esc. It was showing my amps were around 16 to 20 average when I had an 1800 rpm. It's hard to say w/ that 2400 rpm.

I have one X5 with a 15t pinion on it and a second with a 16t pinion. Both with stock motors and 520mm blades. RPM varies between 2,200 and 2,400. I don't beat on them too hard; big air stuff. I don't have the numbers in front of me now, but if I remember based on the Castle data I think I was averaging around 24A on the 15t and 26A on the 16t.
