Default Raw 700 Blade grip driving me nuts

I’m having a hard time getting one blade grip to move freely after tightening, while the other one is fine.

I’ve made sure the bearings are put in the correct way and tried different thrush bearing along with the large bearing, but still this one grip will not move freely.

Is there a specific way to tighten them or could I have a bad grip (hard to believe) ?

Thanks!

On my kraken the grips were way too tight and damaged an inner bearing. Heated and removed the inner radial bearings and reinstalled new bearings and all was good. Suspect one of the bearings wasn't seated fully when glued in in the factory. Couldn't really tell by looking at them though.

Have you tried flying it? Centrifugal forces will help seat the dampers and bearings.

It's probably already smooth if you pull on the grips.

Default Blade Grips

Thanks for the thoughts, I'm going to try both.

Had the same issues on both of mine. Even bought new bearings for it which helped it only slightly but not what I would consider ideal. However, one flies without issues and the new one the same so far after the maiden. Unless its ceased try not to lose sleep about it like I did with this model.

My first and second RAW were the same way. You need to fully seat the dampener. Once you have it set the grips will have no issue.

I have assemble three RAW’s and all of them have the same problem, solved this problem changing the shim’s, on the manual they show two shim’s with the same measure, what i did, change one of those shim’s for a thinner one, don’t know now the measure of this new shim that i changed, but solved the problem, no axial play on the blade grips, and now they move freely, i saw when we assemble the rotor head that the bearings were not facing the shaft and when you tight the screw it compress the bearings, SAB needs to recheck or the shim’s or the shaft the see if it shorter than it needs to be.

if your bearings are confirm seated in the right configuration, i suggest try flying it then check.

The bearings are seated right, check and recheck it several times, all of them were with the same problem.
