Default MCPS Brushless Upgrade

Hi,

I installed the brushless motor and ESC upgrade and it has been a real problem. I feel that it is way to powerful for the 1S batteries.

Two things:

1. There is no reduced throttle when the battery is going dead, it just powers down and falls out of the sky. With the batteries as cheap as they are, I would rather run a chance of over discharging the battery than crashing my helicopter. Is there a way to disable the LVC and I can just use a timer?

2. The motor is so powerful it seems to be creating a mild brownout and triggering the LVC early. I know this because the LVC kicks in and the batteries still have over 60% charge in them. I can get almost 4 minutes if I just hover, but only 1 minute if I push the MCPS. Currently I am using the Nanotech 300mah batteries. I already have my idle up limited to 80% throttle but that only helps a little.

Any Ideas? Is anyone else experiencing this? Thanks.

You might want to try upgrading or replacing your battery connector, Ive heard they wear out and with the extra drain of the brusless motor?

You might need to reset your throttle curves.

What is your timer set to on the radio.I do 3:40 min flights, I never let LVC kick in...It shortens the life of the battery.
I am not a 3D guy.... just racing around and doing circuits.

And to be honest I like the stock 210mah better than the Lectron Pro batteries I have...they are lighter and I don't see that much difference in performance.
