hs-65mg vs. DS410 servos

I have 3 hs-65mg servos off of my blade 400. I was going to buy the combo kit, but was wondering which servos were better for it so I would know which ones to sell and which ones to hold on to. Are the hs-65mg a direct fit to the 250? thanks in advance.

Most people fly with the ds 410 without problems, they are pretty good actually, but they're crash worthiness accoording to some isn't great.

Had a minor crash and stripped the DS410. Switched to the digi 65mg's and haven't looked back. They handle minor and major incidents fantastically. They get my vote.

Go with the hs65mgs,they drop right in and are almost indestructable.The 410,s work good,but strip too easy.Ive used both.Also took the hs65s, off my blade 400 to use on the 250....

I'm too lazee to look it up.. are the 410's metal geared?

Also, I cut servo wire accedentaly from the hs-65mg I then removed the metal gears from it and put them in my hs-65hb. Can I now (just to satisfy myself that I did not break anything) say that it is a hs-65MG? Also, I think I was just going to use one of the ds410 for the tail. I have heard this is not the best combo, but it is digital and I do not think I would want to run an analog on it.

There labeled as metal geared,some gears are metal, some are plastic,main pinion is plastic, and they do strip.

HS65 on the tail its way too slow for this heli.

Never had a single problem with my DS410, and they have seen plenty of crashes already. Gonna stick with these for a long while I hope, they seem good for the price.

+1 ,i wouldnt use a cyclic servo,analog or digital on the 250,s tail.Its a huge job for a tail gyro/servo to hold the 250,s tail,with the weight and size of the 250,the tail speed and the short pitch slider throw,you need all the help you can get.

Thats amazing,me and my buddy got exactly 2 crashes each before stripping a 410.I know all crashes are different,but my elevator servo stripped without even bending the ball link rod.The 410,s are 28 bucks vs 35 bucks for the hs65mg,s and I didnt want to have to deal with regearing servos,had enough issues keeping me busy with the tail LOL...........

it's not all about speed. i think a servo's ability to center properly is even more important. take the 9650 and 3400G for example. not blazing fast as S9257 or 3500G but tried and tested servos, nonetheless.

I've had some nasty crashes with my 250 and haven't stripped a servo using the 410's. In fact in all of my crashes i have never stripped a single gear once, and all my servos are non metal gears.

My DS410 gear broke off just after I landed my 250, without any crash And it was a new servo. I put in new gears and he workes fine now.

Two of the gears aren't metal but you can get the metal gears for $9/set. Mine have seen a bunch of crashes and have yet to strip the original gears.
