I will for now, ordered a Mini-G for the tail from RCHover today along with the 500 kit and other things needed.

Well... I just could not wait so I am ordering another V-BAR unit for this new 500 Nitro today after flying my T500E V-BAR yesterday with the new software. Man!!!

I love nitros this is 1 I will be watching with lots of intrest love the 500 and now nitro 500 very cool. Looks like align might have droped the ball on this 1 finless said it would be a heavy pig not from what i'v read and seen this is a rocket prefict size for me cant wait to see more of this 500 nitro

I got mine in the mail today, looks good, very complete. I hope to get it installed today and get a flight on Sunday. I will post my results ASAP. I think I will get alot of interest at the field. I will try to get some pics too.

I am planning to be at IRCHA, and if it is still in one piece, I will definitely be bringing it.

I should have everything to build the machine by the end of this coming week.

Oh and to answer the title of this thread... YES I would buy the Nitro Conversion.

I finished the Niro 500 build. It was a pretty easy build, very strait forward. Part fit and quality is very good. Finish is not the best, but resonable. I like how it fits the airframe. I have yet had time to fly, hope to have a report soon.

Things to look out for: Instructions OK, leave alot of things up to you. I had to costom fit the fan shroud around throtle linkage and at bottom to fit canopy on. Canopy needs to be trimmed way more than instructions suggest. I put the hole for the start shaft in the wrong place, instructions not clear for this. You must have a start shaft with a one way bearing. I have not had a chance to weigh it yet, I think it picked up about 6 oz.

Whats good. Very compact, looks like it was ment for nitro. Extra power should make it haul a$$ for the whole flight. Everyone that has a chance to see it fly will want one. Nitro! ( I have both, but still love Nitro!) Part support looks good at this time. I am including pics, just ask any questions.

Electric by far beats the crap out of any nitro 500, more efficient,more power, more cost effective, easier maintanence, easier tuning capabilities,plug and fly anytime type of heli.Just a plain simple answer, if you want more flight time just strap on a higher mah lipo and your good to go. Why change a good thing?

I would love a 500 gasser. Yes I know, less power than nitro or electric, but it would be for long flight times and cheap fuel not performance.
