Default Power plant

What motor and ESC combo is best for mild 3D? I am asking because I put 5 flights on the align 650 and it took a dump, and I was told not to buy another align.

Do you have to cut the frame to install this motor?

Yes https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=143551

If you want a similar but a tad more expensive motor that is a straight drop-in you can try the one I have in my sinature.

EDIT: I have to revise that, its almost twice the price at least where I buy in UK. But I like it.
