Here is the latest keychain cam video. This one is onboard my 600. Mounted in a small box filled with quilting lining as padding. Still some waves, but it is improving.

I pulled the sd card out and plugged the cam into my pc. Waited a couple seconds and then unplugged the cam and the light stayed on. Then I inserted the card, light stayed on and I was able to get it to start recording. Since doing that it turns on ok but won't turn itself off unless I hit the reset.

And in the comments they say the incredible factoid that "50 factories in shenzhen now churn these out".

Theirs comes with a 2gb card and produces native 640 video rather than upsized (blurry) AVI.

Another attempt.. this time form my "home field"... an electric only field only 5 mins away.

This time I tried that green Zeel gyro tape.. looks ok..

Another... from today.. used that green Zeal tape on the canopy to camera.. seems a bit better.. but still vibes.

This one from my "home field".. 5 mins away but electric only.. and not an r/c club.

OK... even though my current heli video keychain cam is pretty good..

They now have better!

I just ordered a 1280 HD video cam... for $18!

I am at work right (can't get to the site), but do you know if it is a native 1280? I know the other 720 HD ones were the same image sensor that they use in the cheaper non HD ones. Then they up sample the frames to 720. So the image has no more real pixels or quality. The files are bigger, and it drops frames because of the extra processing that it is having to do. So hopefully the 1280 is better, but I would do my homework on that one.

The dimension that counts is the 960. 1280x960 is really only is good if you're only viewing videos on a computer. Any TV box is going to either up-convert to 1080 or down-convert to 720, so you'd probably be better off with the 720 version. Also, 1280x960 is a 4:3 aspect ratio, making it less than optimal for a widescreen TV.

Now, we'd be talking if they came out with a 1920x1080 version.
