Default Stripped weight of the Micro Beast

Hey there - a few guys in the 4G6 forum are wondering if anyone has stripped down the micro beast to just the boards and what the weight is after it has been stripped. Has anyone done this yet?

WOW - only these days I'm after another 4G6. My idea is to buy frame separately, 3 servos, tail servo, upgraded motor/esc (for 2S), tail cage and links, extra CF blades - all in all around $150-$160 - which is less than barebone 4G6(S) or even that new one...

and I already have loads of tail gears, tail shaft, holders and blades, plastic head (to be converted to FBL), canopy, and receiver.

Only thing I don't have (and is a bit expensive) is BeastX. Do you have any experience how 4G6 flies with it? How's the tail holding? Links?

Mine weighs 19g and they say the metal weighs 11.5g but dont mention what the top piece weighs. So we know it weighs under 7.5g stripped.

Don't expect the Microbeast to work perfectly with the aluminum housing being removed. The Alu housing acts as a kind of frequency filter to keep vibrations of certain frequencys away from the sensors. Not such a good idea to remove it.

BTW: once removed, the alu housing cannot be reattatched unless you exactly hit the existing thereadings in the plastic cap and fix the screws with exactly 0,1Nm (IIRC) of force. Both is critical for the function of the MB.

I think this is a detructive mod - definately. For the sub-micros I thik foam tape might be enough to filter those vibes.
