Talking HBK3 Back-yard flight video

Here is a link to the Honey bee king 3 in flight in the back-yard. This was taken just before the DX6i up grade so I am still flying on stock radio in this video.

Honey Bee King 3 Backyard flight (2 min 54 sec)

enjoy.

Thumbs up HI FIVE!

Nice and smooth, and not a lot of chasing it around. Is this still a stock machine aside from the tx/rx?

Default Stock King 3

Hi LAK, thanks for the Hi five mate,

Yes this is still all stock King 3.
The ONLY change is a respray to the canopy
Plastic head, plastic frame, OOB. I did put the metal CNC up-grade head-tail set on but removed it again befor any real flying.
This bird has been rebuilt about 20 times as I went through all of Finless Bob's videos on "How to" and that was before I tryed to fly it.

The bird is very stable even in a breeze but now I have the DX6i and ar6100 I can sub-trim and expo till it "hangs in the air the same way a brick dosnt"

Keep the bird in the air at all cost $$$

Default looks good

Looks good Mate !

I upgraded to a newer transmitter too. The stock one is just too touchy for me. Now i just have to dial everything in to my liking.

Nice Job !

Default Trimming with Rx

Dialing the bird in has become a bit of an obsetion of mine now I can.

I found a link on heli-freak to very Novice setting at first but as I learn more about the radio and the HBK3 the more there seems to be to set pre-flight.

We are having cold mornings with HOT days so my settings change as the day warms up.
It is also handy for a trim between larger and smaller battery packs.

The HBK3 rocks as a small heli but the stock radio gear is just too dodgy.

Good luck with the dialing in Ladian it makes a fun hobby much cheaper in the long term.

Keep the bird in the air at all cost$$.
