Default 600EFL Pro questions

OK, so they been out a bit now.

How are you finding yours?

What headspeed do you run?

Do you have the tail blowing out issue??

What packs?

Midlands sell the airframe only with blades and motor and this is to my liking and Im very tempted tbh

I have flown better,Logo 600 V bar springs to mind but they are OK i suppose.

Airframe looks very nice, lipo tray is brilliant, flies better at stupid headspeeds,at 2200 rpm Logo 600 eats it on performance, short flight times, hot lipos.Tail would blow out in sudden hard load conditions, something any other heli i have ever flown doesnt do.

When someone brings out an adjustable motor mount like they did for 700e,and ratio options it should make it more appealing to many normal fliers.

Compass 6hv outperforms it also, very similar performance to Logo 600 with like for like duration.

Local hobbyshop finally got it in stock today, but since there has been to little feedback on th Pro, I'm gonna wait abit more. My biggest question is flightime, I'm feeling comfortable with performance, but I dont want another 3,5mins of flighttime heli.

Im concerned by the reports of the tail blowing out due to Align reducing the gear ratio of the tail.

Thinking I might just go Logo 600 now.

The blowout itself seems easy to sort, and fare from everyone is experiencing it. My concern is still flighttime and battery abuse with the lively stock setup.

Sticking 105s on the tail( which Align have not confirmed is ok yet I hasten to add) did stop my tail from blowing out, however it did nothing to cure the MAH guzzling powertrain.

I'm getting identical flight times to my old L600.

My setup:
Bls451, mksds760
Vbar
Yge 90hv, Vbar go
Stock motor and also trying 4035-500
Packs - Voltz 3700mah x2
Tail - 105mm Align tail blades
Quk tail grips (but KDE v2 upgrade is good too)

Head speed - 1900, 2050, 2250

At 2250 I get 5m of solid stick banging. With 3300mah packs I get 4m. Flight times are identical to my old Logo and Fusion50.

Stock gear ratio is perfect for 2150-2250 gov'd and is a very efficient setup.

105mm tail allows you to hammer as hard as you want at 2200. 95mm works ok for moderate/mild 3d. Loading with 105 is the same as 95 at 2500 rpm so no need for Align to approve it.

Absolutely love mine. It's an insanely powerful smack down machine. I'll be holding on to mine for a long time.

I strongly disagree on the "Logo eats it "comment. And I flew a L600 for a full year. I like this Heli better actually - battery tray rocks, shorter boom is more compact, parts available everywhere, soon to have large aftermarket selection, weighs the same as my l600 (8.6lbs rtf with 3700), prefer the shorter boom, many shared parts with 550/700.

Crashes really well too. :-( smacked it good. No cracked frames, 1 night to fix it. Logo would have been a full rebuild.

Have to ignore the Mikado cheerleaders, the 600E Pro is superb and I fly mine on 8s and get solid 5 minute flights using 5k packs. I even had the wrong kv motor in it too. I just got an Xera 4030-2y that I am very excited to try.

I haven't had my tail blow out at all and IMHO it holds pretty well. I will say that the 600E Pro is meant for Align electronics and it will fight you during the entire build if you use anything else. If you have the patience it can be done.

I'm curious about your old logo setup. What size blades and electronics/batteries were you running on the Logo?

As far as I'm concerned the Mikado helis are down right ugly. The lame looking frame design is an eye sore.

On looks alone the 600 Pro is a Ferrari while the Logo is a Pinto

Logo's are an aquired taste thats for sure but they do fly so well.

That plastic frame is the reason it took me so long to get one but now its part of the charm. Would not get rid of my Logo's for anything.

Running 105's on the tail (600EFL) do they not scrap the floor or do you get a bigger tail fin?

Just use the 700e/550e gear in the rear to rake the boom. 105's have tons of clearance then.

Hey guys! So I jus ordered my kit and I just wanted to know if the super combo kit comes with that little metal flybar holder. Or do we need to buy That separate?
