Do you want the Self levelling feature? If not the SK is very similar to a Vbar (IMO the SK is slightly better than a BX, but only because of logging features, others say the VBar is close to SK).

I have a beastx on mine, don't like it at all. Would get a Mini Vbar if I had the money, I use vbars on my other stuff and love them.

Can't get it to fly right, cyclic is choppy, tail is inconsistent.

V3? tail is reported to be brilliant by most (much better pilots than me).

Well, I don't think there is an ideal module for the mini.

As usual it's more a feeling concern and a setting matter.

If you already have an fbl module that you are comfortable with, wether it is a vbar mini or a bx, stick with it

I use a bx v3 and it works perfectly on the mini. I have seen mini vbar work nicely as well.
The only thing you want to check is the size.

I have seen the main shaft go though the baseplate in some crash cases, so you probably don't want to have anything important like a vbar on this baseplate.

I use a bx on the top rear plate and a futaba r6203sb connected in sbus to the bx, this receiver is really small and i have stuck it in the back of the bottom base plate.

I find the mini very easy to setup fblwise because this machine is already very smooth to fly

Especially when you consider that is not perpendicular to the main shaft. AFAIK the only place you can mount a FBL unit/sensor is on the tail boom support, fortunately there are no vibration concerns with the unit here (thanks to the belt) like there is on a Trex or similar.

No! The mini base is perpendicular to the main shaft! It is the very bottom of the base that tapers to give the nose down attitude. It is what inspired the new base plate for the bigger brother protos. But I still would not put my fbl unit there just for the sake of NOT driving the main shaft thru it.

PS, I love my beastx's and have em on 3 helis and know of many that have switched from v-bar to beastx version 3.08 !

Futaba CGY750 works very well on mine. I have sensor mounted on the base plate, but I may move it to under the tail boom holder (top is occupied by control unit).

While I do like the Skookum I am going to swap it out and try the beastX in my mini P. The heli has a bobble in it when flying in strong wind and moving up and down with the gain doesn't really fix it. I Must admit I haven't really played with any of the other settings but I have a Skookum in my stretched 500 Protos and it flys very well on stock settings.

I have used the beastX on my full size Protos and my old X2 and am comfortable with it so if it works well in the mini I will put the Skookum into my dedicated night flyer Protos I am putting together so both my bigger MSH heli's will have the same FBL setup.
