Default my new volicity n2 bad parts

OK! here is the deal
I just got my N2 kit yesterday and started building it first I noticed the cracks in the canopy
that was a disapointment first thing!! then started to build the head and found the ball link not finished cant put the tool in it to tighten it!!!!! this really pissed me off now I'm short a ball link. then I thought after that I'd keep building but when I got to the tail rod guides they have screws that tighten them to the boom to my suprise (lol) the screw has no threds
WOW I thought the 3 month wait was for quality controll?? the bad thing is I'm only finished with the head and the tail. stay tooned to see if I have any more issues.
I'll add pictures when I get them on computer OH yea this is my first outrage and might be the last!

That is interesting. I made great experience putting one together for a friend of mine at the field. None of the mentioned issues. However take the pictures and contact your distributor or Outrage directly and I am sur they will get this fixed.

The parts he's having problems with are existing parts.

I had some issues with miscellaneous parts during the build of my v1. Nothing that Outrage didn't make good on though.

Be it Align, Miniature Aircraft, or Outrage, I've never had a build go without any "issues". I'm about to build a Thunder Tiger heli, we'll see what issues if any that kit has.

Default build issues

My whole issue is the quality of the kit and the excuses they told us why the kits were 3 months late in getting to my door. This is my first outrage kit. I have buitl like 6 align kits and never hade a issues with the quality or a issue how the parts go togeather.
I put a complaint and explained the part problems to them and never got a responce It's been 1 1/2 days now with no word

Speaking of Align kits:

https://www.helifreak.com/showpost.p...6&postcount=21

Once I got past the flaws in the kit, the bird flew great!!!

Also, if your emails had a nasty tone, don't expect a quick response. Same thing goes for voice mail I get at work.............if a person leaves me a rude VM and says I had better call them back right away, I won't bother calling back for a couple of days if at all.

Good luck. I hope you can get past this minor setback, as I'm sure you'll be happy with the bird when it's done.

BTW,

If you're in need of the tail control rod guides, PM me and I'll send you the ones off my v1.

Built my first Velo 50 last fall, I had all Align prior to that. Wow, the fit was way better than what I was used to. I always had sloppy tail assy's, loose fitting tail drive gears, one ways that acted up on the 550 600 size. Never had a tail that holds like the velo before.
I had one link that did have a hole in it, one split during asy. and that's it. There's a boat load of spare parts felt over.

Default guess I spoke to soon

I talked with outrage and the issue with the canopy isnt resolved and I'm disapointed in the responce they gave me.
they said that there is no canopys in stock and if i want a replacement I'll have to pay for the new one but only at cost. that was fine at the time but I got to thinking about it and well why should I pay out of my pocket for a part that should have been perfect when I bought it in the first place?
ok guys what do you think is this fair?

Tell them to give you a credit for the canopy's cost value, glue/use the broken canopy, then use the credit for replacement parts later on.

Remind them that a happy customer tells 2-3 people, but an unhappy customer tells 10+ people. Well actually, thanks to the internet, an unhappy customer tells 1000+ people.

Of course I knew Bert was with Outrage, but he's not a customer service representative AFAIK. If that's the case, the last thing Bert needs is for people trying to contact him when they have a problem with a kit.

I would think the last thing Outrage would need is pissed-off customers...

No one wants or needs p-o'ed customers, but there are proper channels to go through.
You don't contact the FBI because your neighbor's dog is left out in the rain all day. You contact the local Humane Society.

I would think of him as more of a deputy sherrif than the FBI...

Either way...hopefully he gets his canopy and other issues sorted out...
