Default Blade holders...

I just realized it didn't come with a blade holder.

So are you guys mostly going with ?

Radix Blade Holder - YEI-YB-BLDHLD
The Radix Blade holder at least isn't off branded, but it looks pretty short for the TDR and it is a bit generic, so I expect it will be tight on the boom.

MIK4264 Mikado Logo 600 Blade Holder
The Logo 600 has the same 25mm boom and is taller so it should fit really well.

I guess I could remove the Mikado Logo and silk screen a TDR logo on it

I hope to hear back from Wingbag about the 2 TDR bags I ordered.

The Mikado 600 Blade holder is really really tall. So tall that it actually prevented my Logo from fitting in the 700 bag. I ended up cutting a 2 or 3 inch section from the blade holder to make it fit.

Default The radix one is the way to go. Just cut a groove in it

To accommodate the tail control rod and you are good to go

+1 I'm using the same blade holder. It fits good and you are going to be running radix blades right?

There literally is no other holder I would use on a TDR. I'm going to buy extras today just in case. Thanks for the pre-warning. I don't get why they's stop making holders for what is arguably the best set of blades in the industry. That's crazy talk.

Exclamation Latest Update

Ok, here it is. Official word from Curtis Youngblood Ent.

I just got off the phone with the guy who runs the site for Curtis. I told him there was a forum thread out there where guys were gathering pitchforks and torches about the fact that there are literally no other blade holder many of us TDR owners would use as well as many other pilots. With it being on the "Discontinued" list it had started a small riot.

Funny side note: He just called me again to let me mess with you guys about it but I figured this was close enough to important that I probably should just spill the beans. With his permission of course.

At some point in the past they had gone out of stock. With the site not having a place for that it was temporarily put in discontined instead. Actually, he can't say how many, but he was staring at a HUGE box of them as we were talking on the phone.

Once he's finished Power's new site he's going to revamp the CYE site next. Tonight when he has time he's going to move the holder from the discontinued list so we don't lynch Curtis over it.

Short Story = They're never going out of stock as assured by the folks at Curtis Youngblood Ent.

Thank you for following up!

There is a lot of passion in this group

Well I got 4 of them and I'll have use for 2 of them initially. I'm not worried about having an extra $10 worth o blade holders.

I'll give you $8/shipped for one right now if you want to recoup some of that overwhelming overhead of spares.

No kidding man. I'm happy to see that we'll all be swimming in Radix blade holders for a long time to come.

The Radix Blade holders ( all 4 of them ) came in today.

Nice fit!

FYI "good enough" just isn't good enough for my TDR This is my first pass at it. I'll notch a second and make sure not to put any little dents in it.
