You don't use travel adjust to set your pitch. You use the swashplate menu. Change your pitch setting in there. Lower the number..........

Travel Adjust is used to level the swashplate at high and low stick...and on Rudder to adjust piro rate.

Swash Mix is used to adjust the AIL, ELE and Collective pitch ranges once the heli is set up mechanically correct.

Honestly it sounds to me like you are confusing cyclic and collective pitch. You set your cyclic to 6 degrees of pitch on Step J. In step K you set the amount of collective pitch. You do this by moving the throttle stick all the way up and using the rudder stick to adjust how much pitch you get. You do the same with the low throttle.

If your mechanical setup is bad, or incorrect, or you have made mistakes on previous steps, you may find that is why you are getting such strange readings.

The tail slider will never go back to center if you are in HH (heading hold) mode. Only in RATE will they go back to center.
