Default Lets talk Mini Bats

Ok, there are two or three different threads that all seem to be revolving around the Mini's flight times and which batteries work best.

In an effort to consolidate info, can everyone re-post their packs and times, and opinions?

For the record:
Standard batt, standard brushed motor, ambient temp about 67 F = 4 mins of calm hover.

Thanks guys, just got my mini today and would like to get 6-9 bats for it; just don't know what to get.

I've got the Hyperion 240's and get about the same flight time doing the same kind of flying.

The advantage I've read is many more charge/discharge cycles being available on the Hyperions over stock.

I've also tried the Turnigy 350mah and it's way too heavy, over 15 grams and much larger than stock or Hyperion. I use my Turnigy for setups and calibrations though so it isn't wasted.

Hyperion 240s seem to be the general consensus. I've got some and love the discharge rate, but flight times aren't that much better... I made up for that by buying more of them

Charger with 4 ports + 10 batteries * 5C (1.2amps) charging rate = almost unlimited flight times.

I could be wrong but I think what was meant flight times on a single battery.

Or have you trained your bird to catch batts mid flight and switch them on its own?

Sorry, old enough to know better but too young to resist.

I just ordered 6 of the Walkera "upgrade" 240s. as I couldn't find the Hyperions in stock anywhere. Helircstore also has an Extreme 240 but that is also out of stock.

Will post performance of the Walkeras after they arrive, prob thursday.

Thanks all.

My mini sport flying gets 7+ minutes on rcecho 20c 350mah batteries. I am running a genius brushed motor and genius main gear with lightened canopy of 2.60 grams. These batteries can be had on ebay now for almost 26 bucks!! I bought mine for 16 shipped for 5. These batteries weigh 9.65 grams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I get the same flight time with the 25c 350mah walkera battery

i get 6 1/2 min with the stock 25c 240mah.

I currently have in the mail from hobbyking the zippy 20c 350mah bare cells. I will post flight times when I get them. I also only fly my batteries down to 3.80v I need to check how many mahs i put back in charging though.
