![]() BigDaddy,
That canopy looks really nice. I see you must have a Scorpion motor in your 450x. What motor+pinion+ESC combo are you using? How is the performance and what kind of flight times are you getting? |

![]() Ok as far as the canopy goes I ordered it straight from the web site and had them change the logo to 450 X..... The down side of that is it took 6 1/2 weeks to get it..... The Scorpion 6 motor 11T pinion and the 60 anp esc is E-flight......4.5 min. 2200 45C lipo..... And yes it's bd-to-da-bone...... GET-E-up......

![]() Did you have to Dremel or otherwise modify the plastic tail case to fit the CF vertical fin?

![]() So sorry about your crash. However, the damage does not look so bad cost-wise. The worst part will be time spent in setting it up again. Hope you get it back up soon.

The CF vertical fin is an even worse "upgrade". It is also not a direct replacement for the stock plastic version. It is meant to go with the $28.99 aluminum tail case set, which makes this bird even more tail heavy. There is not enough clearance in the plastic tail case to accomodate the CF vertical fin. I had to Dremel off some of the plastic to fit the CF fin. Notice the Dremeled off tail case plastic towards the rear of the CF vertical fin. This are the two versions of the vertical fins. See below the difference in clearance between the 2 vertical fins (CF fin tail case already Dremeled).

![]() Wow I didn't even notice the vertical fin hitting the tail case. I also didn't have any problem getting the horizontal fin to screw in with the stock mount. What exactly was the reason you needed the aluminum boom support mount?

![]() Fitting carbon tail and fin and tail blades is not an upgrade it's a downgrade, good luck seeing your tail while flying close to trees. Stock out of the box with the blue/ black canopy it's bad enough your just making it even harder to see.
