Default 500pro frames question

I was wondering, if I can swap my frames on my 500esp to the 500 pro frames..?

I want to upgrade my 500esp.. i know i can swap my electronics, that wont be the issue.. but like the tail mount and skid mount, head block and etc..

Can i buy the Pro frames only, or will I need to upgrade some other stuff
Please let me know..
Thank you

Anything that fits between the frame halves will need to be replaced because the pro frameset is narrower. Main shaft bearing blocks, tail boom case, rx trays, anti rotation bracket, braces, etc.

Doable but an expensive pita imo.

You would be much better off to buy a combo kit and sell off what you don't need. You will find if you do a part out list and assign dollars to it you will be much better off and won't do too bad.

What if someone buys the pro frames and used all his existing in-between frame parts will that work out o.k.? Sure it will not be narrow like the pro is, but do all the screw holes line-up with the older version in-between frame parts?

I dont think this it will work because the tail boom and battery mount wont fit right

Deet is right. Buying a combo and parting out your electronics is the way to go

So, you are saying that the boom mount holes and battery mount holes from the ESP don't match with the PRO frame holes and I can't use all my old 500 ESP wider parts on the newer pro frame halves?

Yeah the re-design was quite comprehensive.
They are actually completely different helicopters designed to be set up in a very different way, they just happen to share a few parts such as boom, spindle and auto gear etc.
