They could be B450 gears. They are fully compatible with the B400.

Most recent pics of the blade 400 stretch with 350mm blades, 6s 1300ma 30c blue lipo and hyperion 2221-1630kv. I do have a canopy that will fit over that bulky 6s lipo btw.

My Non-Blade 400. If I changed out the frame, it would only be a Blade in memory.

Here's my FBL B400, with a GT-5 brain. CC ICE 50, stock motor ,2 dms2 sats , 450 canopy, 450 main gear w/ mircro heli hub. , HG 5065, 5084 tail , KDE head + align grips..
Lots of mods from the lathe, mounting block for the gt5, main gear, frame lots of mods for the ESC.
Built as a practice FBL , so i can learn prior to launching the HV6 . Had 3 big crashes already just getting things sorted , very robust though, just had to straighten the shafts.

Here is a pic of my latest. Carbonfibre body with floating raised panels, dual upper cf panel mod w/bracing. Sk720 w/dual sats. Custom fbl head (Sonix center hub, orange dampners, Mikado fbl swash lock, Align pro f/shaft and widened grips, extended pin mod). 420mm composites. Helihaven 11mm ceramic bearing main mod and Vs2 raised tail. 3 blade custom tail w/kbdds and heimjoint china weight mod. Cf stretched boom. 500 cf skid mod. MksDs95 cyclics and 95i on the tail. Custom cf boom supports. Custom Ice50 w/ gold caps, arctic silver mod. Dan@Gobrushless.com handwound upgraded 2221-2010 scorp. Turnigy 2300 6s 35c Nano batt,(soon to be 2600) MH main gears w/abec5 one way, MH tail drive gear w/ G5 11t. 500 canopy pin mod, 450 canopy. Relocated upper head servo mod.

Next is the 12s mod. It is coming. I have the esc and am having motors built. This heli gives full 18 minute flights at 23 to 2600hs and comes down with the components barely warm. Love the blade farts! And hovers almost hands free. Goes well over 60 at 2/3 throttle. Also since these pics, I have started the 12s upgrade and made beefier 500 carbonfibre skid mods. Ceramics everywhere. This is an almost no vibe heli. It runs so quiet all you can hear are the blades. Smooth and insane power. I felt this one should be documented in our dying 400 thread.

Congratulations to all, there are some seriously cool B400s out there..and here's mine!
Today was the last day of the Radd's training, so...hovering!

I put a Rex 450 canopy on her, and I quite like the shape of it, but I hate the colours, so next thing will be to paint it to look like a mini Protos..

Update. Rattle cans on the above shown canopy and voila! Another Protos! Or maybe a Blotos..

Thanks..its kinda cookie cutter w/ the pineapple canopy, but I like high visibility (hence the bright orange tail)

Im not sure if its a 400 anymore per say. Its got just as much 450-3d parts, some Align parts..some aftermarket electronics. I guess its another Frankenheli 400??

Here's mine. Looks stock for the most part- kinda boring, huh? :-)

I just rebuilt it this week after a crash. I was flying about 150' in the air when a gust of wind took it behind a line of trees. As I had completely lost visual and was unsure of orientation, I hit throttle hold. After a dramatic few seconds (and I was starting to wonder if it somehow magically auto-rotated on its own to a soft landing) I heard a horrific crash.

Here's what had to be done:
-complete dis-assembly, cleaning, re-assembly
-complete clean and lube of all bearings, including swash bearing
-replace badly bent main shaft, clean and re-lube one way, replace main tail drive gear (not damaged in crash, but was always a bit wobbly)
-replace broken rotor head, replace boogered blade grips, replace bent flybar cage, replace see-saw (which was previously an aftermarket one) with a stock one, replace badly bent feathering shaft, clean and regrease thrush bearings, eliminate all excessive play (but ensure smooth movement) of washout arms, bell/hiller arms, all ball sockets..
-clean, test, repair two servos with new gears, re-install all electronics
-verify all linkages were proper length
-level swash at mid, top, bottom stick positions
-replace canopy (old one looked like it had exploded on impact)
-replace woody blades with align 325 carbons.
-adjust tail belt tension

Surprisingly enough, the tail boom was not bent, and the wood main blades and stock tail blades were not damaged. I didn't so much mind the rebuild- as I had purchased this bird used off craigslist, and I found 3 instances of incorrect previous assembly.. I spooled it up tonight for the first time post crash, and it is smoother than ever. Next time I re-build I will throw in ceramic bearings for more efficiency/smoothness, but I am very happy with how it has turned out so far!!!
