Exclamation Raptor 50 blades.

Hey I have a pair of thunder tiger woodies and the base on one is much smaller then the other blade. It is about a quarter of an inch smaller and when in the grips will wobble up and down due to the smaller base. Could this leade to heavy tial up down shake on spool up? She starts to shake just below half throttle and I've checked everything I can think of. Any advice or other things to check? Thanks.

All things must be equal when it comes to blades. That being said, if the cog equals out and the blades balance then washers to eliminate the slop would work. My recommendation: Get a set of blades that are already equal. I personally dislike woodies and feel it is money well spent to use modestly priced carbon blades over woodies.

Exclamation Raptor 50 spool up shake.

Hey guys my raptor 50 shakes on spool up around half throttle. I'm not sure if it's the normal shake or not cuz I haven't gassed her up past the start of the shake. The shake is mostly up and down shake. I've checked all normal diagnosis but no luck. Any help? Thanks.

Is this with those woodies?
Don't like the sound of that at all
But what sort of shake is it? Sometimes the heli will wobble as the blades reach speed to straighten themselves out and if you power past it, the lift kicks in and the heli becomes stable again, but from what you said in your first post, I wouldn't trust it.

As Jason says, all things must be equal and balanced with blades or all sorts of troubles ensue. 1800 rpm or more with mis-balanced blades is dangerous.
I'd recommend a new set.

I got a set of these before and they worked great untill I tried drilling a hole into the ground with them. I think there better than the woodies and are a lot cheaper. less than $24 shipped. The ones I got were balanced, tracked well and had no problems. You just have to be paient as they come out of HK and take 2-3 weeks for delievery. if you scroll down the page tho the group photo, maybe the one in the middle comes with it.

spool it up without the blades once, if there are no shakes/vibes, than you know it's the blades.if something is bent, you'll see it
